Have you experience of supporting someone to live their best life?
My name is R and I am 28 years old and last year I moved into my own property in Edgbaston, Birmingham. I am looking for a team who are good communicators, patient, creative and are good at thinking outside the box to keep me active daily. You do not need any formal experience in Health or Social Care but it may be beneficial. However, you do need to have a passion about supporting me to become as independent as possible in my own home and out in the community.
I do require supporting in attending my physiotherapy and hydrotherapy appointments as well as going out socially, so driving would be essential in these circumstances however I do own my own transport for you to drive. Part of the role also includes supporting me in developing new relationships and to push past my boundaries and enable me to achieve more than I thought possible.
R enjoys baking, going out, art, music, playing cards and singing. R was a keen cyclist and swimmer as well as a big Leicester Tigers fan, who enjoys going to watch the rugby and spending time with family and friends. People who know R describe R as funny, kind, generous, resilient and R know's what R wants out of life. As part of the team you will work directly with R and will need to be observant and believe in person centred care, people having control of their own lives and making their own choices, with the support of friends and family.
Here at Woodford Homecare, we are recruiting additional team member on behalf of R to enable R to maintain R's new home and life. We are looking for a team to help enable R to live as independent life as possible within R's new home. This will include physical support and personal care as well as skill development. You will receive full training including mandatory training and instruction from the family and within Woodford, whilst also spending time alone supporting R. We are looking for full time and part time staff and those to sleep in to help provide the support that R needs. You should be able to work within a team as well as on your own.
The interview process will involve spending time with R and her family
